Pre-requisites
The candidate must complete training with a recognised training institution in order to be able to take the ITIL Intermediate SO assessment. It is very ideal to have basic IT literacy and approximately two years of IT experience. The ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management is required for applicants (or other appropriate earlier ITIL and bridge qualifications).In order to prepare for the exam, candidates should devote at least 21 hours of personal study time to examining the syllabus and the ITIL Service Operation publication (specifically Chapter 2: Service Management as a Practice).
